Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will be making a documentary on the 70 glorious years of the Pakistan Cricket Team. The documentary will feature the Association of Pakistan with the game of cricket. It will chronicle the journey of Pakistan from its first test match played in 1952 and culminating into the emerging and popular cricket league, Pakistan Super League.
The documentary will honor the trailblazers and the legendary cricketers who helped put Pakistan firmly on the sporting map. It was these legendary cricketers who ensured the inclusion of Pakistan in every cricketing tournament.
PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja will be narrating the documentary. Raja is also an integral part of the cricketing legacy in Pakistan. The documentary will depict the highs and lows and the Pakistan Cricket Team hitting strongly bouncing back after every difficulty.

Moreover, some rare images from the formative years of the Pakistan Cricket have been included in the documentary. This part of the documentary will be a nostalgia for the older generation and a lesson for young cricket enthusiasts.

Moment of pride for Ramiz Raja
Speaking about the upcoming venture, Chairman PCB, Ramiz Raja said, “For me being a part of this short film was both a moment of pride and nostalgia. My journey is intertwined with Pakistani cricket and I feel blessed to be able to positively contribute in all the various roles that I have had over the years to date.”

Obaid-Chinoy went on to comment, “Pakistan’s passion for cricket is unmatched. As a fan of our team, I too have gone through the rollercoaster of emotions that are a trademark of our association with this sport. Therefore, it was a joy to be able to tell this story and share it with the world.” The film will be screened on TV channels and in stadiums for the duration of HBL PSL 7 from Thursday.
