People thank Imran Khan for cash program despite PPP taking credit

Poor people thanked Imran Khan for the emergency cash they received at the time of difficulty. They said no govt has helped them so much as PTI. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Firdous Ashiq Awan and Sania Nishtar said that PTI govt will standby people who are facing troubles during the pandemic situation.

People across Pakistan thanked Imran Khan for Ehsas Emergency Program. People in video messages and photos showed their happiness after receiving Rs. 12,000 from Ehsas cash program.

They said this cash will help them finance their daily expenses at the time of lockdown when people are not able to get work.

On the other hand, PPP local leaders tried to politicize the cash disbursement program. They posted PPP posters in Ehsas cash distribution centers. Poor receiving cash were told that this cash is from Benazir and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

According to the Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Dr Sania Nishtar, under the Ehsas Emergency Cash Program over 4.444 million families have been paid over Rs. 53.336 billion in total as of the 18th of April 2020. The Ehsaas Emergency Programme will provide Rs. 12,000 financial aid to 12 million families who deserve it with the focus on daily wage earners who are out of work because of the coronavirus lockdown.

On the other hand, the Special Assistant to the PM for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said the Prime Minister will soon announce a package for small businessmen whose businesses have been affected by the ongoing partial lockdown.
