In another bizarre news coming from PIA, an airline air hostess traveled to Toronto, Canada without a passport. The air hostess has been fined for traveling on the airline without her passport.
A source in the national airline confirmed the incident and informed that the stewardess forgot to keep her passport and traveled on the general declaration document.
Canadian authorities slapped her with a fine of $200 for negligence. The spokesperson of PIA said that she had left her passport at Karachi Airport. He, however, denied reports of the air hostess seeking asylum in Canada and instead confirmed that she would be returning to Pakistan via flight PK-782.

The incident sparked suspicion due to recent mysterious trends of PIA flight attendants disappearing in Canada. So far 10 flight attendants have gone into hiding in Canada after landing.
Last month, PIA air hostess from a Toronto-bound flight from Islamabad went missing in Canada. Maryam Raza was part of the cabin crew on flight PK 782.
She vanished as soon as the plane landed in Toronto. Authorities confirmed her disappearance and also found the note ‘Thank You PIA’ on her uniform in the room. She was expected to board the same flight back to Pakistan.
This incident was reported a month after another air hostess disappeared in Canada. A month back, an air hostess identified as Faiza Mukhtar disappeared.
According to a PIA spokesperson, “The air hostess was deputed at PIA flight PK 781. She vanished in Toronto when the flight landed at Toronto airport.”
PIA though confirmed that they are not taking back the split air hostess and crew. In 2022, five crew members experienced slips during overseas flights, followed by seven incidents in 2023. Notably, a significant number of slips among PIA’s air hostesses occurred in Canada.
Back in November 2023, two senior flight attendants from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) slipped away in Canada after a flight from Islamabad landed in Toronto. This marks the fourth incident this year and follows a similar trend from the previous year.
