The premier has accorded approval to table a bill in the parliament which will aim to curtail the perks and privileges of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan. PM bill
The PM has directed Babar Awan to get approval for the law, on abolition of VIP culture and curtailment of perks and privileges, from parliament forthwith. The legal team has started its work on this count, sources stated.

Under this bill the president and prime minister will be authorised to keep only one official residence. The expenses regarding security, employees, dining, entertainment and telephone calls will be curtailed. According to reports, a former president from Sindh declared Larkana resthouse and Bhutto House Ratto Dero as president houses in the past. A former PM from South Punjab declared camp offices at five places, including Multan and Lahore. A former chief minister showed 7 different camp offices as chief minister office in Lahore.
Babar Awan said that the heads of state would soon introduce a bill in Parliament to reduce their privileges. He said that the promise of austerity made to the people in the election manifesto would be fulfilled. PM bill
