Prime Minister Imran Khan is all praise for skipper Babar Azam for his heroic innings in the second test match against Australia in Karachi’s National Stadium.
International cricket figures had been praising Babar Azam for his courageous innings on Wednesday that saved Pakistan from defeat. Babar Azam had scored record-breaking 196 runs in the final innings of the second test match. His impressive game gained him appreciation from a score of international cricket figures including neighboring India.
England’s former player, Michael Vaughan, called him the ‘best player of all the formats’. Former West Indian cricketer, Sir Vivian Richards, called both Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam ‘exceptional talents’. He further said the world was “blessed to witness such players in the middle”.
England’s Ian Pont said: “Unbelievable innings from @babarazam258 showing why he’s the best in the world right now. Pity about the 200. What a 4th innings this is by #Pakistan.”
“Extraordinary effort by Babar Azam to save the Test for Pakistan. Changed the game by looking to score day four rather than letting Australia dictate,” tweeted Australian journalist Andrew Wu.
