PM Imran Khan expected to interact with people on telethon

The session was earlier scheduled for 3 PM but was later delayed to 4 PM. Rumors spread that the session has been canceled forcefully. The government quashed the rumors and assured them that the session will go on.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expected to conduct a telethon on Saturday, a day before he will be facing a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly of Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan will answer all the questions of the callers during a live session. As his future as the premier of Pakistan remains uncertain he is taking up every opportunity to address the concerns and questions of the people. The Q&A session will be broadcasted live on national television, PTV.

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will once again speak to you directly on the phone – Inshallah Today at 4 pm – Your questions and the Prime Minister‘s answers Your talk with the Prime Minister will be broadcast live on television, radio, and digital media,” said Faisal Javed Khan earlier today.

He again tweeted, “Shortly afterward on the national broadcaster.” Prime Minister Imran Khan has galvanized massive support since the no-confidence motion has been filed against him. Moreover, the possible traces of the foreign-backed conspiracy to oust him from office has turned the tides of popularity in his favor. The results of which are evident in the second phase of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local body elections.

The ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took the lead in the second phase of the local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the unofficial results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf bagged 32 seats, whereas the opposition could only bag 20 seats altogether.

Meanwhile, independent members won 12 seats. According to the results, JUI-F bagged seven seats, which was followed by Jamaat e Islami with only five seats. PML-N and PPP could only secure four and one seat/s, respectively. The polling was held for the seats of mayors and chairmen of 65 tehsil councils and 18 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Immediately after hints of a PTI victory emerged, the Prime Minister took to Twitter and congratulated the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan, and the PTI team. In his tweet, he said, “Congratulations to CM Mahmood Khan & our PTI team for their overwhelming success in Phase 2 of KP LG polls. The people of KP have emphatically rejected the traitors who sold out to foreign masters. This is an early warning to all traitors of what awaits them in their constituencies.”
