PM Khan has given a formal nod to the youth development program, named, ‘Wazir-e-Azam Kamyab Naujawan Program’. The program is initiated to empower and support the youth with a multi-dimensional approach.
The ambitious program, worth 100bn, will facilitate the youth in several forms varying from providing soft loans, education, job opportunities, and professional skills.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar, stated that such youth programs were initiated in the past but could not excavate the desired results due to weak strategies.
The proposal for Wazeer e Azam Kamyab Naujawan Program after the approval from PM Khan will be sent to Federal Cabinet for final scrutiny.
“Under the program, several schemes are being launched for the youth, including Youth Economic Development scheme, PM’s Green Youth Movement, PM’s Startup Pakistan Internship Program, Hunarmand, and Kamyab Naujawan employment exchange program,” stated Usman Dar.
Dar briefed PM on a number of steps taken under the Strategic Youth Development Program, which includes the creation of a National Youth Development framework and a National Youth Council, which will look after all the youth-related matters.
Prime Minister was also informed that for the first time a PM’S Youth Plus Portal will also be launched to invite the suggestions from the youth development and progress of the country. A National Youth Development Index will also be formed under the program.

The Youth Development Program will be introduced across 40 different sectors where youngsters can benefit by collaborating with the provincial government.
A Youth Database will also be formed, that will collect information through surveys by educational institutions and universities for the establishment of the Prime Minister’s Employment Exchange Platform. The database will be provided to all government sectors who can appoint young people on vacant posts.
Under the category of PM start-up program, soft loans will be provided to young entrepreneurs to start their small businesses.
