Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) for showing commitment towards Pakistan.
Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister congratulated APPNA on its 46th annual convention, saying that the nation admires APPNA’s commitment and resilience to serve Pakistan and build its relations with the US.
He also thanked the Pakistani physicians in the US for their timely support to Pakistan during the catastrophic floods of last year and Covid management.

APPNA is holding its 46th annual convention, which began on 4th July and will continue till 9th July. Discussions will be held on topics such as polarization in society and healthcare in Pakistan. Renowned academics, doctors, and even political analysts will participate in the convention.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan also felicitated the organization on the occasion for its ‘spectacular’ achievements spanning over decades.
Felicitating APPNA’s leadership Masood Khan paid a glowing tribute to APPNA for its services to the humanity and said that the organization’s contributions to Pakistan’s education, healthcare and social development are unmatched.

APPNA is the largest medical association in the United States, comprising thousands of Pakistani physicians who have been serving the people of the United States for past over four decades.
It was formally incorporated in 1977 with the objective of providing a networking platform to all Pakistani origin physicians in North America. APPNA has steadily grown and today represents approximately 20,000 practicing physicians and innumerable health workers of Pakistani descent.
