PM Shehbaz Sharif Begins Two-Day Visit to Doha Following Saudi Arabia Trip

The prime minister is accompanied by federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar.

On the second leg of his two-nation tour, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha for a two-day official visit following his trip to Saudi Arabia.

Upon arrival, he was welcomed at Doha International Airport by Qatar’s Minister of State, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, along with Pakistan’s ambassador and other diplomatic officials. The prime minister is accompanied by federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar.

During his stay, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to meet with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, as noted in a Foreign Office statement. He will also inaugurate the “Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present” exhibition on Thursday, showcasing Pakistan’s cultural and architectural heritage and highlighting the strong people-to-people connections between Pakistan and Qatar.

On X (formerly Twitter), the prime minister shared his enthusiasm about the visit, expressing anticipation for productive discussions with the Qatari leadership to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Earlier, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province, bid farewell to PM Shehbaz at King Khalid International Airport’s Royal Terminal. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, and senior Saudi officials were also present.

During his stay in Saudi Arabia, PM Shehbaz addressed the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, where he emphasized Pakistan’s investment opportunities, government reforms, and efforts to promote trade and investment.
