Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to embark on a two-day trip to Saudi Arabia starting Saturday night. According to sources cited by The News, he will undertake the Umrah pilgrimage and meet with his Saudi counterpart in Jeddah.
It’s reported that during a crucial meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, PM Shehbaz will discuss various projects and extend an invitation for the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan.

Sources suggest that Saudi Arabia is considering a $1 billion investment in the Reko Diq project. The detailed schedule for PM Shehbaz’s visit, along with accompanying federal ministers and top officials, will be finalized today. Before departing, the Prime Minister will hold consultations with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.
This marks PM Shehbaz’s first official visit to the kingdom since assuming office in March. Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki will return to his country to welcome the PM.
