PML-N welcomes dissolution of Punjab Assembly

Parvez Elahi's formal advice on the Punjab Assembly dissolution raised a storm on social media, however, PML-N leaders have welcomed the development.

In a major development, PML-Q leader and Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi formally advised the governor to dissolve the Punjab Assembly hours after regaining the confidence of a majority of lawmakers.

The Governor House received the Punjab Assembly dissolution advice in a sealed envelope shortly after 10 pm, as was confirmed by the governor himself in a tweet. Parvez Elahi’s formal advice on the Punjab dissolution raised a storm as it put an end to weeks of speculations and the public spectacle of differences between PTI and PML-Q.

As the Punjab Chief Minister’s advice on the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly gets shared online, PML-N gets mocked by PTI supporters who claim that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has completely changed the game in Punjab. However, PML-N leaders have welcomed the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly and have vowed to fight back.

“Dissolving the provincial assemblies for power is a conspiracy to deepen the economic crisis by creating political instability. Imran Khan can also make an alliance with Satan for power. Now the competition will be on the field. Malicious conspiracy and lies will disappear, God willing,” Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said.

“Thanks, Imran Niazi! The people of Punjab have long wanted to get rid of the PTI government, which was imposed after the 2018 elections by stealing the mandate of the Muslim League-N. You went out to abolish the federal government and are celebrating by abolishing your own government. Well done!” Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said.

“Good riddance to bad rubbish. Imran Khan has just shot himself in the foot. Alhamdulillah, political interference of Punjab Police, anti-corruption leaflets, and indiscriminate use of government funds have come to an end. Parvez Elahi, the billionaire fraudster, and his son went home along with the entire PTI. The bandit rule is over,” SAPM Attaullah Tarar said.

“Many congratulations to the people of Punjab who got rid of an incompetent and undeserving group,” PML-N’s Ayesha Rajab Baloch said.
