PMLN worker allegedly throws ink, egg at SAPM Shahbaz Gill

The SAPM for political communication has accused the workers of PMLN of the incident. Reports say, an egg was also thrown at him, however, it did not hit him.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has reportedly thrown ink at Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Shahbaz Gill on Monday outside Lahore High Court.

The incident happened when Shahbaz Gill was returning from the hearing of the case against a Turkish company. The SAPM for political communication has accused the workers of PMLN of the incident. Reports say, an egg was also thrown at him, however, it did not hit him.

The police have arrested the man alleged for throwing ink and egg at him. Gill addressed the media outside the court following the incident. He slammed the PMLN leadership for resorting to ugly tactics to avenge the government for defeat in the senate elections and cases against them.

“Maryam [Nawaz], next time you do something like this, I will come to your house and wash my face there,” Gill remarked while speaking to the media. “We are Imran Khan’s followers, we will not take revenge. We will, instead, teach you values.”

He added that he will face the PMLN leadership without any security whenever they would call him. “I want to tell our workers that if a PML-N supporter comes in front of you, don’t do anything disrespectful because your leader is Imran Khan, and their leader is Nawaz Sharif, who goes around defaming Pakistan,” added SAPM Shahbaz Gill.

Other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf Murad Saeed and Fawad Chaudhry have strongly condemned the incident on Twitter.

“Not only condemnation but also resistance to the attack of N-League thugs on Shahbaz Gul. A gang of certified dacoits can fall to any extent to demand NRO,” said Murad Saeed on Twitter. While addressing Nawaz Sharif, Saeed said “he is running away from London and inciting against the country and using glue butt: attacked as planned as if it was an anti-national statement.”

Meanwhile, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that “The incident of throwing ink on is beyond condemnation. Such actions will increase bitterness. Black deeds will not be eradicated by throwing ink on others.”

Senator Faisal Javed Khan also condemned the incident and demanded the authorities to held accountable the culprits as soon as possible.
