PMLN’s Two Maryams: PTI’s Undercover Agents?

Another PML-N leader Maryam Aurangzeb, ended up calling the party supremo ineligible and incompetent, a glaring blunder, which can’t be reversed. What have Maryams of PML-N got against Nawaz Sharif?

Maryam Aurangzeb, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader accidentally whipped Nawaz Sharif, the jailed party leader, as ‘incompetent‘ and ‘selected‘ in a press talk.

The charged Aurangzeb, while addressing the media outside the accountability court in Lahore, unintentionally called the incarcerated Nawaz Sharif as ‘narrow-minded‘ and ‘ineligible person‘. While her sharp dissension was originally intended for Prime Minister Imran Khan, Aurangzeb was left with eggs on her face after realizing the slip of tongue.

Maryam Aurangzeb was castigating the current government for political victimization of Nawaz Sharif, calling the legal cases of financial irregularities built on him, mere political revenge. Her video is being widely circulated on social media as netizens could not resist taking a jibe at the leader for her glaring slip of the tongue. Memesters mocking Aurangzeb asserted that she finally admitted the truth of Nawaz Sharif being ‘incompetent’ and ‘ineligible’.

According to other rumors rife on social media, she is being accused of leaking the confidential information of party meetings to media.

Aurangzeb is, however, not the first party member to be caught up in a faux pas. Before her, another active party member Uzma Bukhari, also accidentally chanted the slogan of ‘Go Nawaz Go‘ while protesting against Imran Khan.

Uzma Bukhari was leading the protest outside the assembly against the price hike when she made the blunder. Uzma Bukhari is a staunch member of the PML-N and is known for her robust speech against her opponents in various television talk shows.

Even Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, has also been subjected to a similar Twitter faux pas when accidentally called her own party ‘ineligible‘ and ‘incompetent‘. Maryam Nawaz had shared the World Bank’s recent report on Pakistan’s faltering economy published in newspapers. Perhaps Maryam Nawaz only read the subject of the World Bank’s report, which read, ‘Pakistan’s budget has lost its credibility’, and overlooked the content of the story

Assuming the story on the current government’s economic performance, neither she nor her party supporters bothered to read the content, which reviewed the fiscal year 2015-16, and 2017-18, the years in which Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz held the government.
