The police carried out a raid at the Lahore residence of Special Assistant to Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar during the wee hours of Saturday to deliver a notice regarding the May 25th incident.
According to the details, the raid was carried out at the residence of Attaullah Tarar in G-3 Johar Town Lahore. However, he was not present at his home. Pertinent to mention that no one was arrested during the police raid at his home.
Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar, in a statement, asked Attaullah Tarar to present himself before the police, adding that law is awaiting him. Tarar should present himself before the Lahore police if he understands the power of law, warned Dogar.

Atta Tarar not holding back
On the other hand, Ataullah Tarar hit back by criticizing the Punjab Home Minister and asking him not to cross the line in defense of the “anti-state narrative”.

“Mr. Hashim Dogar, I thought you were a minister, but you turned out to be a very frivolous character. What do you want to prove by sending the police to a house where I lived 15 years ago? This is your situation, you have to run the ministry. Do not cross the line in defense of anti-national statements,” Attaullah Tarar tweeted while reacting to the development.

The PTI leaders had earlier announced that the Punjab government will launch an inquiry and probe the May 25 “crackdown” on Azadi March participants. A committee was also formed by the party to oversee the matter.
On the day of PTI’s long march, Lahore turned into a battleground as multiple scuffles took place between the police and PTI marchers as the latter tried to wriggle out of the barricades placed on their way. Police forces also brutally attacked convoys led by PTI leaders. As a result, after winning power in Punjab, PTI is ready to hold those behind the police brutality accountable.
