The viral video shows two female polio workers walking across the waist-deep snow in Azad Kashmir to vaccinate children in far-flung villages.

A mammoth of social media users poured in love and appreciation for brave female polio workers who undeterred by the extreme weather constraints are adamant to make Pakistan a polio-free country. The netizens acknowledged the determination of the polio workers who go door-to-door in every city of Pakistan to vaccinate children, most of them even risking their lives to perform their duty.

Social media users also demanded the government to provide them with better security to polio workers who are also at risk of being attacked by miscreants in several areas of Pakistan.
Each year, polio workers in Pakistan set a precedence of bravery, becoming an undeniable backbone in the fight against polio.
Back in September, a mother-son duo of polio volunteers received adulation on Pakistan’s Twitter after the son, Majeed Khan, posted a picture with his mother returning from vaccinating children in the evening in a village in Pakistan. The picture instantly gained traction as netizens voiced their love and appreciation for the duo serving Pakistan’s battle against the poliovirus.

“Me and my mother on way to home back after a hard day of polio vaccination #VaccinesWork,” wrote Khan on Twitter. Twitter users cheered the duo as ‘real heroes’ and extended prayers for them. Khan belongs to Azad Kashmir.
