Prime Minister Imran Khan, DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor and other senior politicians including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, have expressed their condolences for the bereaved family and sent prayers for the departed soul.

Usman Qamar, the 21-year-old son of Qamar Zaman Kaira, succumbed to injuries when his car rammed into a truck and then collided with a tree near Lalamusa on Friday.

The media cell of Pakistan People’s Party posted the message of condolence by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stating that he was shocked to hear the sad news, adding that PPP leadership and workers share the deeply-felt grief for the Kaira family and friends.

“Heartbreaking! Praying for Qamar Zaman Kaira and his entire family. May Allah give them strength at this tragic time,” Aseefa Bhutto Zardari wrote.

“Most tragic news of the death of Qamar Kaira’s youngest son in a traffic accident. Just when Kaira was addressing media in Islamabad he got the news. No words adequate to beguile Kaira and the family from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. Deepest condolences, sincere prayers,” Farhatullah Babar said.

President Arif Alvi also took to Twitter and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family, “Absolutely heartbreaking and tragic, the death of my friend Qamar Zaman Kaira’s son Usama. May his soul rest in peace and may Allah give the strength to the family to bear this tragic loss,” stated President Alvi.

Senior anchor person and analyst, Moeed Pirzada, also prayed for the departed soul in his message. He wrote, “Heartfelt condolences on the tragic death of Usama Qamar s/o Qamar Zaman Kaira, in a road accident. May Allah bless his soul & give strength to his parents, family & all loved ones to bear this loss! Amen!”

His counterparts, from the ranks of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf, also came forward to share their sorrow.

“There’s no bigger grief for any parent than to see their kid leave this world at a young age. My heart goes out to Qamar Zaman Qaira & his family. May Allah give them strength and courage in these testing times. Ameen”, wrote Jehangir Tareen.

“I’m deeply saddened by the news of Osama Kaira’s passing. May Allah grant him Jannah and give his family, especially his father, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and his mother the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen”, wrote Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
