Popular TV anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb was allegedly assaulted by her husband. The TV anchor registered the case against her husband. Her husband has been arrested on her complaint.
Images and videos of the actress with bruises and visible marks of assault went viral on social media. She claims to have sustained serious injuries from the physical abuse. She said that she had been subjected to violence by her husband thrice over the past year.
The FIR states that she has been subjected to domestic violence by her husband. Following her complaint, her husband Haris was arrested and presented before the judicial magistrate who granted a remand of two days.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has directed the authorities to take swift action against the culprit. She has sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police Punjab who has been ordered to provide her with the best medical care and facility.

In one of her interviews, Ayesha revealed that she re-married after the death of her first husband. She said that her mother forced her for a second marriage even though she has three children.
.my mother asked me to get married again, but I asked her, ‘Why are you forcing me to get married, when you didn’t marry for my sake?’, to which she said, ‘I didn’t marry and that’s the reason I want you to get married’. I was so saddened to hear her answer, I don’t know how lonely was she.”
Talking about her second marriage, she said, “I told my mother’s wish to my only friend, who was single, he was quite close with me and my mother, he proposed to me, and we got married into a very intimate family gathering. One of my daughters was worried about my second marriage but my husband talked to her first.”
