PPP’s fierce mayhem against Federal Minister for Energy, Omar Ayub purportedly calling former President Asif Ali Zardari ‘Mr.10%’ in his speech disrupted the National Assembly session convened to address rising inflation and economic crisis on the second day on Wednesday.
PPP’s legislature Naveed Qamar and Agha Rafiullah stomped towards Omar Ayub in rage, with Rafiullah near to smack Ayub when PTI legislatures Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan and Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar intervened to stop the altercation and bar the PPP legislature from beating Omar Ayub.

Soon the rest of the furious PPP members encircled Omar Ayub to stop him from continuing his speech in the National Assembly. PTI leaders and ministers rallied in to protect Omar Ayub from the angry mob of PPP members. PPP legislatures even tore the copies of the agenda presented by PTI.
PPP legislatures ignored repeated calls of Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri to express restraint and maintain order in the house. The opposition members violated the dignity of NA and even resorted to derogatory language while cursing Omar Ayub.

Resultantly, the National Assembly session halted for the second day until 11 am the next morning. The unexpected burst of anger from PPP legislatures displeased the commentators who slammed them for exuding intolerance in the face of criticism.
Several commentators asserted that while PPP targets the government with sharp criticism, they should also have the courage to accept criticism with patience.
Yesterday, PPP’s legislature Abdul Qadir Patel mocked Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and Federal Minister Murad Saeed with boorish and derogatory comments when Murad Saeed rebutted PPP’s chairperson Bilawal Bhutto’s tirade against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
PTI’s cabinet minister Murad Saeed said PTI will release Larkana from the shackles of rabid dogs that are mercilessly biting the people.
Murad Saeed’s fiery remarks against Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto came in response to Bilawal’s tirade against Prime Minister Imran Khan condemning him for removing the name of Benazir Bhutto from social welfare project, Benazir Income Support Program and merging it into a multi-dimensional Ehsaas Program.
Sadly, legislatures engaged in the heated debate instead of leading a constructive discourse to solve the woes and problems of citizens.
