President Joe Biden’s fundraiser faces protests from pro-Palestine activists

As soon as the event began, human rights activists confronted President Joe several times. Some called him out for starting a nuclear war with Russia, others called him out for the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Pro-Palestine protestors interrupted the glamorous fundraiser led by President Joe Biden in New York. Biden was present with his predecessors Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton at the event. The fundraiser was part of this election campaign for Presidential re-election.

As soon as the event began, human rights activists confronted President Joe several times. Some called him out for starting a nuclear war with Russia, others called him out for the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Not only Biden but other speakers Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton were interrupted by supporters of Gaza.

One protestor yelled ‘Blood on your hand’ at Obama which triggered him to respond back. Obama responding to the activist, said “You can’t just talk and not listen. That’s what the other side does.” Videos showed pro-Palestinian protestors speaking to people who aggressively attended the fundraiser, on the streets of New York.

Biden exclaimed, “There are too many innocent victims, Israeli and Palestinian. We’ve got to get more food and medicine, supplies into the Palestinians. But we can’t forget, Israel is in a position where its very existence is at stake. You have to have all those people. They weren’t killed. They were massacred. They were massacred.” This enraged the protestors as they started calling out the President.

“How dare you talk about the innocent deaths of Palestinians. Palestinians are dying right now because of your actions,” a protestor was seen yelling as he was taken into custody by the security. Another woman was seen shouting, “Shame on you Joe Biden”.

This is not the first time any event attended by President Joe Biden has witnessed protests against genocide in Gaza.

Earlier this week, the United Nations Security Council took a significant step in addressing the ongoing conflict in Gaza by issuing its first demand for a ceasefire during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The resolution passed with overwhelming support, aims to halt the fighting and alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the crossfire. However, the decision has sparked controversy and drawn strong reactions from key stakeholders, particularly Israel and the United States.
