Social media backlash
However, social media users mercilessly blasted the actress for practicing hypocrisy. They slammed the actress for voicing her concerns for the rights of black Americans yet brazenly overlooking the exploitation of Muslims in her country, India.
Priyanka's support to Afro-American struggle is as fake as her American accent and I really wish White allies and black activists realize this. She is the kind of person who gleefully takes selfie with a person responsible for the murder of thousands. 5/5

Social media users pointed out that she never spoke for religious minorities in India. But the actresses did not even express concerns for the hundreds and thousands of migrant workers who were left stranded in various cities of India during the coronavirus lockdown.
The observers stated that the actress did even condemn the Delhi riots earlier this year. The extremists attacked a score of Muslim neighborhoods in Delhi-violent riots claimed 56 lives.
Social media users said Priyanka Chopra is a hypocrite. As she protests against racism in India and anti-Dalit (lower caste Hindu) crimes in India. But she sells fairness creams in India but plays a minority card and brown card in the USA.
Priyanka didn't raise voice on the Delhi pogrom, Akhlaq lynching, Rohit Vemula murder, Najeeb Ahmed etc. The only reason the likes of Priyanka show support to Afro-American struggle in US is cause they know it opens up opportunities for them in US liberal spaces. 3/5

They say her support to the Afro-American struggle is a pretense. Because speaking on this subject will open her way into the ranks of American liberals. Hence, her social media post reflects her opportunistic attitude.

Priyanka must be the most hypocrite actress ever.
1. Keep quiet about anti-Dalit atrocities in India but talks about racism in US
2. Plays minority & brown card in US but sells fairness cream in India, Hardly talks about colorism/castism in Bollywood https://t.co/xh0YAWpVCl— Ravi Ratan (@scribe_it) May 30, 2020
