Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra posted pictures of herself with Rohingya refugees on Twitter on Monday 21st May. She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who is currently visiting Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. She reached Dhaka after attending the royal wedding in London.
She tweeted an image of herself from the aircraft looking outside the window. “Follow my Instagram to share my experiences as I visit the Rohingya refugee camps on this UNICEF field visit. Children uprooted, the world needs to care. We need to care,” she captioned the image.

She has posted a series of photographs and videos from her field visit at Cox’s bazaars camps in Bangladesh with an emotional message on Instagram that recounts the plights of Rohingya refugees.
Priyanka Chopra pleaded the world to step forward to help the Rohingya community rehabilitate their lives.
The migration of the Rohingya refugees, at a massive scale, from Myanmar is listed among the acute humanitarian crisis of the present age. Almost 700,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled the violence in Myanmar and arrived in Cox’s Bazar since August 2017, according to the UN.
Priyanka Chopra, since her appointment as the Goodwill Ambassador in 2010, has worked on multiple projects with the UNICEF ranging from girl’s education to propagating women’s rights in every field of life. Last year she visited the Syrian refugees’ girls in Jordan.

Last year, Priyanka Chopra met Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai in the sidelines of the UN summit. She appreciated Malala Yousafzai’s endeavors for fighting back terrorism and her efforts in tackling the obstructions in the way of girl’s education.
Priyanka Chopra will resume her projects in Bollywood with Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’. The movie is set in the time of the India-Pakistan partition. She will be playing the lead role in the movie who will guide Salman Khan to solve the mysteries of his life.
