PTI condemns harassment of family of Shahbaz Gill’s assistant

The police conducted a raid at the house of PTI leader Dr. Shahbaz Gill's assistant. The police allegedly tortured the women in his house and took them to the police station in the middle of the night.

PTI is charged against the Islamabad police for allegedly harassing the family of Shahbaz Gill’s assistant Azhar. While slamming the Islamabad police authorities, PTI members are calling out the government for violating human rights.

According to the details, late Wednesday, the police conducted a raid at the house of PTI leader Dr. Shahbaz Gill’s assistant. The police allegedly tortured the women in his house and took them to the police station in the middle of the night. They also kept harassing his family and kept demanding Dr. Shahbaz Gill’s things, which they did not have.

While revealing the details of the harassment, Azhar Mashwani, who is PTI’s focal person, slammed the authorities for crossing all limits of fascism.

“These cowardly rats have crossed the lines of not only fascism but also immorality,” Azhar Mashwani added.

Farrukh Habib, PTI’s Central Secretary for Information and former Minister of State termed the incident “shameful and cruel” which “violated the sanctity of the women of the house.”

Meanwhile, Hassan Niazi, focal person to PTI Chairman Imran Khan warned that power is something that is temporary and only Allah will help the poor.

“And they were so scared that they are now looking for Shahbaz Gill’s driver. Attacked the family and took them away. Power is something that comes and goes,” Hassan Niazi said.

“Every day, every minute the imported government reaches a new low in the history of Pakistan. Fascism is now being displayed not only against politicians but also on families who have done absolutely nothing. Shameful and disgusting,” PTI’s official Twitter account wrote.

“Shame on ICT Police and the interior ministry. The fascist government is trying its best to bulldoze every human right. The nation stands united against this fascism,” PTI’s Peshawar chapter wrote.

Shahbaz Gill’s arrest

Earlier, Dr. Shahbaz Gill, who is Imran Khan’s Chief of Staff, was arrested when he was on his way to visit the former Prime Minister. According to Islamabad police, Shahbaz Gill has been arrested for incitement against institutions and their leadership.

A group of police officials stopped Shahbaz Gill’s vehicle at Imran Khan Chowk, Islamabad. One of the cops broke the window glass of his vehicle by hammering the gun.

Later, the police officials dragged Gill out of his vehicle and went away from the scene. The CCTV footage also showed that the cop shifted Gill to another vehicle. Shahbaz Gill’s assistant Izhar was driving the car.
