The provincial chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has directed its leaders, youth, and students to begin preparations for an upcoming march on Islamabad, aimed at demanding the release of the party’s incarcerated founder, Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and other detained party workers.

These instructions were issued during the ‘Janisaran-i-Imran Khan Convention’ held at Nishtar Hall, where several PTI leaders addressed the gathering. The event featured speeches from absconding PTI leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed (via video link), Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Communication and Works Sohail Afridi, among others.

Speaking via video link, Murad Saeed urged the PTI student wing to begin organizing in educational institutions and build a student-led movement. He said their campaign for the release of Imran Khan had reached a critical stage. Praising the youth for their role in previous protests—particularly in removing government-placed barriers—he emphasized the need for greater participation this time. He urged each district to prepare at least 5,000 youth to lead the procession.
Saeed also warned the authorities, saying that although their protest would remain peaceful, the state would “feel the heat” this time. He accused the government of silencing PTI by denying them their mandate, suppressing peaceful protests, violating parliamentary sanctity, and undermining the Constitution.
“We will not stop raising our voices for our imprisoned workers,” he said, adding that they were waiting for Imran Khan’s call to take to the streets.
Addressing the convention, Meena Khan Afridi said party morale remained high, and workers were prepared to march—by foot if necessary. He called for the immediate release of all detained PTI members, including Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, and vowed that their ultimate destination was Islamabad, where no one could hide from the will of the people.

He described the day’s convention as the beginning of a revolution and said that youth mobilization had started across every district and locality.
Sohail Afridi said the Pashtun community would not forget the injustices inflicted upon PTI. Declaring unwavering loyalty to Imran Khan, he said they were eagerly awaiting his call for action.
Participants in the convention chanted slogans of support and affirmed their readiness to act upon Imran Khan’s instructions, pledging to march towards their goal when the time came.
