PTI Karachi jalsa to be screened across Pakistani cities

After the successful Peshawar rally, PTI is gearing up for the upcoming Karachi rally scheduled for Saturday. Calling it the biggest rally ever witnessed by Karachi, PTI is busy making preparations.

Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that the PTI Karachi rally will be live-streamed on a big screen in Jhelum. He made the statements in a video message uploaded on PTI’s official Twitter page.

Fawad Chaudhry invited the public to attend the live screening of the rally at Shandar Chowk in Jhelum at 9:30 pm on Saturday. Most importantly, Jhelum is famous as the city of soldiers.

“Pakistan’s movement for freedom, autonomy, and sovereignty should not cease. The contributions of our soldiers and martyrs in Jhelum toward Pakistan’s sovereignty and freedom should not be forgotten,” Fawad Chaudhry said.

“We should stand with Imran Khan,” Fawad Chaudhry further added.

Moreover, the public of Karachi is also excitedly awaiting the former prime minister of Pakistan. In fact, a huge crowd already gathered at the venue two days ahead of the rally. Videos of the crowd went viral on social media.

Media blackout for Peshawar rally

Interestingly, following his ouster, Imran Khan has gained the sympathies of the public even more. Ever since Imran Khan left office, the public has vowed to support him at all costs. As a result, Imran Khan pulled an impressive crowd at the Peshawar jalsa as thousands of supporters came out to hear his speech.

Moreover, videos from the historic jalsa literally show a sea of supporters all packed in a large field. People even jam-packed the streets leading to the venue. Finance and Health Minister of KPK Taimur Khan said they had to break the boundary walls to make space for the crowd.

However, there are reports that the mainstream media did not provide coverage of the PTI rally in Peshawar.

In a Tweet, former SAPM Dr. Shahbaz Gill shared Nayatel’s live viewership data as of 11:35 pm across 15 cities on April 13. According to the statistics, ARY News alone garnered 56.1% views compared to 14 other channels, including Geo News, Samaa News, and Dawn News. Furthermore, Shahbaz Gill noted that the media blackout of the rally affected these channels’ viewership. Therefore, the public in different cities will most probably make its own arrangements and perhaps hold gatherings for the screening of the Karachi rally.
