PTI leaders condemn incident at Holy Prophet’s Mosque

A mammoth of condemnation for the Masjid-e-Nabvi incident poured in from the supporters of every party on Twitter. PTI leaders too condemned the attack. The members of the coalition government claim it was a planned attack by the PTI leadership on the government delegation.

PTI leaders condemned the incident at the sacred Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Madina. The government delegation was heckled and mistreated by the protestors at Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The videos of the government delegation circulated on social media last night triggered a massive reaction from Pakistani social media users. A mammoth of condemnation poured in from the supporters of every party on Twitter. The members of the coalition government claim it was a planned attack by the PTI leadership on the government delegation.

However, PTI leadership has come forward to condemn the incident. Asad Umar in his tweet said, “We are aware of the grief and anger of the people, but we must respect the sanctity of the holy places.”

Ali Muhammad Khan also condemned the incident in his tweet. “There may be a thousand political differences, but the footsteps of morality should not be lost and political differences should not turn into enmity!” said Ali Muhammad Khan.

“In any case, it is not appropriate to chant slogans in or around the Prophet’s Mosque. Against manners and strictly forbidden. There was a public reaction, but respect for the Prophet’s Mosque is paramount in all circumstances,” Khan added further in his tweet.

Another PTI official Sahibzada Jehangir who was also present at the premises said that it was shameful. “I am present in Madina Shareef. As Bugti & Maryam Aurangzeb entered, slogans of CHOR CHOR greeted them. No living Muslim should be subject to that in the Mosque of the Prophet (PBUH). So shameful, so shameful, so shameful,” said Jehangir in a tweet.

Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari also condemned the incident and urged people to focus on their worship. “I urge all Pakistanis abroad to control their emotions. Raise your morals and piety. Do not spoil your pilgrimage and Umrah because of these looters. Pray to Allah Almighty today that such thieves will save the life of our country forever. Amen,” Zulfikar Bukhari in his tweet.
