Thursday, PTI once again pulled a mammoth crowd at its rally in Lahore. After its historic rallies in Peshawar and Karachi, the Lahore rally too was a success.
On the other hand, there are multiple reports on the number of people that attended the jalsa. One news channel claimed that only 7000-9000 people attended the rally. However, additional reports state that the number of people was leaps and bounds more.
According to a media report, an official of the Special Branch informed that per his report, more than 60,000 people were present at the venue. The official further said that there were less than 50,000 seats while most of the people listened to the meeting while standing.

Three different enclosures were set up for the rally, general enclosures for the general public, ladies for women, and family enclosures for the families.
Moreover, attendees of the rally claimed that they had never seen such a huge crowd gathered at Minar-e-Pakistan. In fact, there are claims that PTI broke its own record.

Furthermore, people from other cities too watched PTI’s Lahore rally on huge screens. Interestingly, the transmission of ARY News was taken down in different cities of the country for showing PTI’s power show in Lahore against the ‘foreign conspiracy’.
There were more people in other cities than lahore watching Imran Khan’s Jalsa despite life threating letters, road blockage, enforced media blackout and internet interference.

PTI’s power show
Following his ouster as the prime minister, Imran Khan is making a strong comeback in politics as he holds public rallies across the country. His rallies in Peshawar, Karachi, and later in Lahore, faced huge success as thousands came out to support him.
To clarify, the impressive rallies are a testament to Imran Khan’s power in pulling the public. Majority of the public continues to throw its weight behind Imran Khan. In fact, crowds gathered at the venues before the rallies took place.

Moreover, PTI activists in other countries too held protests against the PML-N government. Waving large flags of Pakistan and PTI, protestors marched the streets of capitals like Berlin, Ottawa, Washington, and London. They also chanted slogans like “imported Hakumat Na-Manzoor”.
Lastly, PTI is well-known for mobilizing the public through strong social media campaigns. Recently, Imran Khan broke the record of hosting a Twitter space session with more than a million people joining it to listen to him.
