PTI takes over D-Chowk in Islamabad after intense fight

Barricades Removed as Protestors Face Shelling and Fire to Answer Imran Khan’s ‘Final Call’ to reach D Chowk in Islamabad.

PTI protestors reach D-Chowk Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon amid intense shelling and fire from police and law enforcement agencies.

Videos and images of the protestors removing containers and barricades to reach D-Chowk are making waves on social media. Both Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur briefly addressed the marchers and protestors as they were reaching D-Chowk, Islamabad.

Bushra Begum while addressing the protestors asked people to stand by her and not to leave her alone till the release of Imran Khan. Earlier addressing the protestors en route to Islamabad, Bushra bibi vowed to stand firm, declaring, “I will stand until my last breath, and you must stand with me.”

“This is not just about my husband; it is about the nation and its leader.” She encouraged participants with passionate slogans and gestures, energizing the crowd along the way.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur also addressed the protestors while reaching D-Chowk. He chanted slogans of freedom and asked the workers if they are exhausted.
Amid escalating violence during protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the federal government has deployed the army in the capital under Article 245. The Interior Ministry has issued a notification authorizing military intervention to restore order and crack down on miscreants. The army has been granted the authority to impose curfews and, if necessary, take strict measures, including shooting troublemakers on sight.
Monday night saw some intense clashes between the police and law enforcement agencies in Islamabad. However, the Pakistan Army pushed back once the protestors and marchers reached D-Chowk. Rangers and Pakistan Army personnel have now been deployed at the security of the key government buildings. The effects of tear gas shelling reached Aabpara Chowk, prompting businesses in Aabpara Market to shut down.
Meanwhile, more convoys from Southern Punjab and all over Pakistan are reaching Islamabad.
