PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan writing a drama script

Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf’s senator Faisal Javed Khan has revealed that he is writing a drama series in an interview with The Current

Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf’s senator Faisal Javed Khan has revealed that he is writing a drama series in an interview with The Current a few weeks ago. He revealed that his drama script is on the real issues of Pakistani society.

Sharing the details of his upcoming project in the interview, Khan said: “There is no substance and essence in our dramas. That’s why I want to write a drama targetting our social issues.”

Faisal added, “I have started writing a story which is baSnesed on the basic problems of our society, such as partiality. It has become prevalent for people to say, ‘my son is brilliant,’ he knew someone, who helped him get his job done.’ It has become a norm when it is the wrong thing to do.”

“We don’t think twice before lying or slandering. Stealing and Bribing have become normal. People proudly say, ‘My son was not getting his passport; we paid PKR 500 and got it done’. It is bribery, and it’s wrong,” he said.

“My script contains five topics, and the entire story will revolve around them,” shared Senator Faisal further. “And it is the story of a teacher.”

Concluding his response, the PTI leader said, “It will be terrific. When you watch it, you’ll enjoy it.”

The senator informed that he liked Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat’s Dil lagi and Faisal Qureshi’s ‘Meri Zaat Zarra Benishan’.

He added, “Honestly, I haven’t as such watched the very recent serials,” he added. “But my top favorites are Nijaat and Chaand Grehan. I have DVDs of old dramas at my home.”

Lately, there has been a growing backlash against Pakistani drama for typical stories and repeated storyline, revolving around domestic issues and troubled women. They have called for unique and unusual storylines and themes in Pakistani films and dramas.
