Mohsin Dawar, a member of national assembly and leader of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), has reportedly demanded Pakistan army to leave Waziristan. Mohsin Dawar, who recently attacked an army check-post in North Waziristan and martyred one soldier, said we now want immediate removal of Pakistan army from our areas to foreign media outlet from an unknown place.
Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that four soldiers got injured as a result of the attack by PTM members and three attackers were killed. As to why did the PTM attack the check-post, the ISPR has said that they wanted to exert pressure for the release of suspected terrorists’ facilitator arrested the other day. “Troops at the check-post exercised maximum restraint in the face of provocation and direct firing on the post,” the army said.
We will free Ali by force. if anything happened to Ali; then I swear you (army) will not get out of Waziristan alive
Dawar openly threatened the armed forces for staying in the tribal areas.

Analyst’s View
After Dawar’s statement about army went viral, analysts shared their opinions and slammed the MNA for pursuing an anti-state agenda under the cover of right’ movement. Dr. Moeed Pirzada of 92 News mocked Dawar and said that:
Is it true that Mohsin Dawar has demanded withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan? He is definitely a very brave, courageous & principled man! Isn't he?

PTI’s Omar Ayub Khan also said that
Mohsin Dawar & Ali Wazir donot in any way speak for Pakhtuns. They r the mouthpieces of their masters across the border. Pakhtuns r patriotic Pakistanis & r serving in r Armed Forces & many hve embraced Shahdat. The attack on the Army checkpost is a condemnable act.

People also reminded Dawar and his aides that they used to support army operations in the region whereas Imran Khan, PTI’s chief, used to oppose it.
Mohsin Dawar amid chanting go go army, keenly forgot about his poisonous TL which in the past he so readily used to abuse IK for being anti army ops in NWA!
But hats off to our liberals who with a mere life line of 280 chars have managed to turn hypocrisy into a Tahfuz movement!— K. (@On_the_edge0) May 30, 2019
Moreover, back in 2014, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) that killed many innocent civilians and soldiers also demanded the same thing.

The TLP hostage Pak Army soldiers, tortured and beheaded them. After years of continuous struggle and sacrifices by the armed forces, Pakistan was able to restore peace across the country. The TLP was operating from tribal areas of Pakistan and from its safe havens in Afghanistan but was mainly targeting urban centers in Pakistan.

Dawar’s demand is not strange for all those alleging PTM of extension of TTP and other anti-Pakistan forces e.g NDS, RAW and CIA. Dr. Hassan Askari has recently noted that it is the global narrative to destabilize countries through using their internal fault lines like identity and religious cards.
In the case of Pakistan, TLP maintained that the tribal areas should be a no-go area for the state of Pakistan.

But the army initiated operation and cleared the area. Pakistan army has made it clear that the achievements gained in the war on terror shall not be undone because of anyone’s pressure.
NWTD incident. Innocent PTM supporters / workers need care. Only few are inciting and using them against state institutions for vested agenda. No one will be allowed to undo the gains of decades long national struggle & sacrifices especially of brave Pakistani tribals.
