Punjab Police gifts traditional ajrak to the English cricket fans visiting Multan to witness the second Test match between Pakistan and England.
Members of England’s Barmy Army shared the video of being gifted ajrak by Punjab Police. A security officer of the Punjab Police is seen giving them blue ajrak. Police officer calls it a cultural emblem of Saraiki culture, the native culture of Southern Punjab and Multan.
England’s Barmy Army was elated to receive the gifts. In the same video, the English cricket fans hailed Punjab Police for providing them with the best security. They also chanted the slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in the video.
In another video shared online, English cricket fans were seen having Multan’s famous Sohan Halwa. In the video they said, someone, has gifted them the local delicacy. Besides visiting stadiums, English cricket fans are visiting and exploring local cultures and tourist sites as well.
They also visited the historic tomb of Shah Rukn-e-Alam in Multan. They shared the video of the tomb from the inside. The team of fans has reached Karachi now for the third Test Match between England and Pakistan. They have taken suggestions on where to find the best Biryani in Karachi for lunch.

While English cricket fans are cherishing the local food, England Team hired a personal chef for the tour to Pakistan. England Cricket Team hires a team chef ahead of their trip to Pakistan for a Test series.
Two months ago the English team visited Pakistan for a seven-match T20I series. The players had complained about food during their visit to Pakistan. The team perhaps decided to have their chef for the trip to Pakistan.

The team has hired Omar Mezaine who has served in a similar capacity for England’s men’s football team during FIFA World Cup 2018 and Euro 2020 as team chef. This is the first time the England Cricket Team has hired a chef for their overseas trip.
According to ESPN, the players were not happy with the catering services during the T20I series. The feedback from the players state that the food on offer, particularly at the match venue, was not up to the mark, with some players suffering from stomach upset at a certain part of the tour.
