Ranjha song rewritten for Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani wedding

The original song from the film Shershaah featuring the couple was a sad song depicting the separation. With the wedding video making rounds on social media, Kiara Advani was seen walking down the aisle performing the song.

In an interesting development, the song ‘Ranjha’ was rewritten for the wedding of Bollywood actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra.

The original song from the film Shershaah featuring the couple was a sad song depicting the separation. With the wedding video making rounds on social media, Kiara Advani was seen walking down the aisle performing the song. It was revealed that the song was rewritten to fit the union of the couple in real life. Shershaah was the first film of Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra together which ensued a romance between them leading to marriage.

The wedding filmer, who made the wedding video of the couple, shared the video and the new lyrics of the song. Sharing the clip, The Wedding Filmer captioned it, “Very few humans are so generous with their love that they are willing to share it with the world. She wanted to walk towards Sidharth on Ranjha, which is their song. ‘But it’s a sad song!’ I argued. ‘But it’s our song!’ She maintained!” The post added, “So we rewrote the lyrics with respect to fit the situation we were in, and suddenly, everyone’s dreams came true!” Prerna Arora and Ashwani Basoya lent their voice to the song. The lyrics were penned by Shradha Sehgal.
