Reham Khan, former wife of PM Khan slammed Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for his serious slip of the tongue on the status of Jammu Kashmir during his interaction with international media in the sidelines of United Nations Human Rights Council convention in Geneva.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s Faux Pass
Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed his angst over a month-long clampdown on communication and the imposition of the curfew-like situation in the Jammu and Kashmir. Challenging the assertions of the Indian government of the normalcy in the valley, he accidentally pronounced Jammu Kashmir as ‘Indian state of Jammu Kashmir’. A serious faux pass on behalf of the FM Qureshi created frenzy on social media. A whirlwind of criticism followed his video that went viral on social media.
Reham Khan admonished PM Khan for persistently extending a hand of friendship to Prime Minister Narendra Modi despite the incoming aggressive warmongering attitude from India.
Several PTI inmates countered the dissension calling it an unintentional and an accidental gaffe from FM Qureshi and asked people not to suspect his intentions and determination for Kashmir cause. Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry jumped in to defend FM Qureshi describing it a slip of the tongue, and that it can happen by anyone hence, urged people should not read much into the situation and spin unnecessary controversies.
Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir???
Is the FM not aware of our National stance on Kashmir? Is he not aware that his role is diplomacy?
If you work less on your fake English accent & more on your job maybe you can control your Freudian slips.

“But your PM Imran Khan, the day he was to give a policy statement (on Kashmir), he got up to say, ‘I knew he (Modi) was going to do this’; we also knew he (Modi) was going to do this. Imran said ‘I knew this when I met him in Bishkek and he was rude to me’, I knew this when Pulwama happened’.
“When you knew this was going to happen, then why did you extend the hand of friendship (to Modi)? And why were you giving him missed calls?”
