Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, while addressing the presser, said that Army Chief had to interfere in the country’s economic affairs to fast track the release of loan tranche by IMF due to the incapacity of politicians. It sent a negative impression of Pakistan in the world. Recently Army Chief held a telephonic conversation with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and appealed the White House and Treasury Department to push IMF for immediate release of the $ 1.2 billion loan that has already been approved.
Commenting on the worsening economic crisis in the country, Shujaat said that the exchange rate of dollar must be brought under control. He placed the blame for the economic woes of the country on politicians and said that the losses being suffered by Pakistan for the past one year will undermine future of the country.

Moving on Chaudhry Shujaat said that a campaign is being run against him on social media and other platforms. However, “I believe in speaking truth and disclosing all matters before everyone”. He further demanded an apology from the accusers and termed them worthless.
“Removing Chaudhry Shujaat from presidency of the party is quite impossible as he is the founder of the party and has run it for 22 years”, secretary of PMLQ Tariq Bashir Cheema said while addressing the press conference.
Central Working Committee (CWC) of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) claimed on Thursday to have removed Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from the presidency of the party while the meeting also removed Tariq Bashir Cheema from the post of Secretary General.
Tariq Bashir Cheema at today’s press conference criticized the meeting of the Central Working Committee of PMLQ as it was presided over by a provincial leader of PMLQ. The move was earlier termed illegal by Chaudhry Salik Hussain saying that only the party’s general council have the authority to take any such steps.
Cheema further refuted allegations being levelled against himself and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of dividing the party and conspiring against the party. He also negated the claims that Chaudhry Shujaat’s health is influencing his decisions.

He said that he was part of Imran Khan’s cabinet on the instructions of his party and he did not want to remain a minister as Imran Khan is a liar and incapable of premiership.
In response to a question, Tariq Cheema said that a disqualification reference may be filed in the election commission against the MPAs of PMLQ once a detailed verdict of Supreme Court in the deputy speaker ruling case is released.
While responding to a question asked by Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi regarding the reconciliation in the party and family, Tariq Bashir Cheema, speaking on behalf of Chaudhry Shujaat, said “we hope that it happens today”.
Tariq Bashir Cheema also refuted the claim that PMLQ has been trapped by Zardari, saying that Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Parvez are two of the most experienced politicians of Pakistan and they cannot be trapped. He also praised Zardari for being “a man of commitment”.
He finally said that we have no problem with Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi being the Chief Minister of Punjab “Pervez Ilahi may be declared chief minister for life, however, we do not stand with Imran Khan”.
