The famous Turkish serial, Dirilis Ertugrul, has surpassed 10 million followers on its Urdu YouTube channel, TRT Ertugrul by PTV, reported Director of Digital Content and Strategy, Riyaad Minty, on Monday.
Minty took to Twitter and shared the news with fans and followers of Resurrection Ertugrul. “We’ve passed 10 million subscribers on our Urdu Ertugrul channel on @YouTube – Thanks to all the fans around the world and to everyone who has contributed to the success. We’re just getting started,” Riyaad Minty said on Twitter.

The series has around 15 million subscribers globally and 3 billion views, added Minty in his tweet.
The state-run Turkish media, TRT, is working with Pakistan’s state-run media, PTV, to dub the series in the Urdu language for Urdu-speaking audiences in Pakistan and abroad for free.

A YouTube channel was launched in mid-April specifically for the series has nearly 8.5 million subscribers while the channels views climbed to over 1.3 billion as of Sept. 15.
Back in April, the series had shattered all the popularity records in Pakistan.
The state-run TV channel, which started airing the show under an arrangement with Turkish Radio and Television (TRT), is making it accessible to a far greater audience and igniting public interest. The growing popularity of Turkey among Pakistanis is striking, showing their love for the two countries’ friendship.
The serial instantly became a huge success for PTV with the broadcast of its first episode. The first episode of Ertugrul Ghazi received 2.4M views. Moreover, PTV Home has registered an exponential rise in its viewership and subscription on YouTube. PTV said they have gained 40,000 new on its YouTube channel in a day.

Pakistan Television aired the Turkish serial Dirilis Ertugrul-Resurrection Ertugrul in the Urdu language at the request of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
