Ronaldo will be living in Saudi Arabia while he will be participating in Saudi Pro League, he is set to live with his partner Georgina. Saudi laws prohibit the couple from living together before marriage. By living together, Ronaldo and Georgina will be flouting Saudi rule.

The couple, however, will not be punished according to Saudi laws. Media reports state the authorities will overlook the matter due to the stardom of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese footballer has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract worth £177 million per year.

Lots of preparations are underway to cover Ronaldo’s stint with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr club. Arabian Business, a weekly business magazine in Dubai, is set to introduce first-time ever the ‘Ronaldo Correspondent’ to cover the highs and lows of Ronaldo in the next two years.
“Arabian Business is committed to covering the biggest stories in the Middle East, and nothing is bigger than Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia,” says Matthew Amlot, the publication’s managing editor. “We’re looking for a young, dynamic reporter who can help us train the spotlight on what the football megastar’s move means for Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf, and the Middle East,” Amlot adds. According to the publication, they have received over 1000 applications in the past 24 hours.
The deal with Al Nassr club has made him the highest-paid footballer in the world.
Ronaldo received a thunderous welcome in Saudi Arabia earlier this week. Interestingly, the Instagram following of the Al Nassr club skyrocketed soon after the club announced the news of Ronaldo joining them. The club has now received $6.2 million followers on Instagram. The club gathered 31 million likes and gained over 2.5 million new followers for the Saudi team within hours, a 400% increase. Saudi analysts and fans are calling this surge a ‘Ronaldo Effect.’
