Elena Berkova, a porn star by profession, from the town of Murmansk in northwest Russia, posted a video on Instagram this week outlining her plans to run for President of Russia in the next elections.
Outlining her policy, she said that she wants to introduce the death penalty for sexual harassment and would also like to ban skirts longer than 40cm. The 32-year-old said her death penalty rule is because she is ‘fed up with people like Harvey Weinstein’. Other plans include making it impossible for men to divorce their partners and to introduce sex education in schools.
MailOnline reported her as saying: ‘I made this decision recently because women are actively taking part in the presidential campaign. ‘Some of them are from show business, I ran for mayor of Sochi and took have taken part in politics, so I decided to run for the President of Russia. I plan to make divorces almost impossible for men, as these days women bear almost all the responsibility for children’.
‘I plan to introduce sexual and legal education in schools. And to introduce a mandatory sex exam. Often our youth still do not know about sexual legal norms, hygiene, not to mention pleasure.’ Berkova will be the fourth female candidate to run for office.
