Salman Akram Raja appointed new General Secretary PTI

Omar Ayub, who tendered his resignation from the party post, will continue to serve as the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly.

Salman Akram Raja becomes the new General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI).  He assumed the charge following Omar Ayub’s resignation.

Omar Ayub tendered his resignation earlier today. After this, a notification was issued announcing Salman Akram Raja as the General Secretary of PTI.

Omar Ayub, who tendered his resignation from the party post, will continue to serve as the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly. His continued role in parliament ensures that he remains an influential figure in PTI’s political landscape.  PTI founder Imran Khan approved the resignation of Omar Ayub.

“I am thankful for the party founder for approval of my resignation,” he said. “I had tendered my resignation from the office of secretary general on September 05, which has been approved by the party’s leader,” Ayub further said.

“It was a workload as being the opposition leader, attending cases hearings, working as the secretary general, and looking over constitutional matters,” Omar Ayub said. “I will continue to work as a party worker alongside the founder of the PTI,” he added.

Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI)has appointed renowned fashion designer Khadija Shah as the national lead for strategic communications and outreach for its election analysis and management cell.

This announcement was shared via a post on social media dated August 2nd, 2024. The notification was issued on August 27th, 2024. Shah who is an active party follower shared the notification on her social media account of Instagram.

In a surprising move, Khadija Shah also revoked her US nationality, to accept the reserved seat in the national assembly. She was offered the seat by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan awarded Pakistani fashion designer Khadija Shah in recognition of her sacrifices on International Women’s Day.

She was hailed for her sacrifices and continued stance for her rights and women’s empowerment. While receiving the award, Khadija Shah delivered a powerful and heartwarming speech.
