Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali to collaborate on a film titled Inshallah?

News Desk |

Race 3 isn’t out of theaters and Salman Khan has already planned his next films. The actor has confirmed that he will appear in Kick 2 which is set for release in 2019 as well as Race 4 which will hit cinema halls sometime around 2020.

Now it appears that Salman Khan will also work with acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for another upcoming project. The Devdas filmmaker has been looking to make his next big feature film following the success of his period drama Padmavaat. And sources suggest that Salman Khan will be the star to lead his next film.

The movie entitled Inshallah was recently registered with the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association and sources claim that it will be the name of his Salman Khan feature.

“Inshallah might be the title of the film that will reunite Sanjay and Salman. He got the title registered last week with IMPAA. And looking at Bhansali’s working style, he might take six to nine months to complete the final draft of the script, and he may start shooting by next year, after Salman is done with his other prior commitments including his next film, Bharat”.

The source also says that the film could possibly be released on Eid 2020. Considering that Race 4 is also set to impact theaters sometime in 2020, it is likely that Salman Khan could be getting two major releases in 2020 possibly both around the two respective Eids. Khan’s availability comes with the end of his commitment to Bharat which is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Priyanka Chopra.

Salman Khan has worked with Bhansali before on numerous occasions and each time they have captured some cinematic magic. They made hits such as Khamooshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Khan even took on a small but significant role in Bhansali’s 2007 film Saawariya. But it will still be interesting to see the two collaborating after 11 years.
