Federal Minister for Tourism, Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari, performed the ground breaking of the 1st luxurious five-star hotel in Chitral, KP on Wednesday.
Bukhari, who is also the Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, shared the pictures from the ceremony on his official social media accounts.
The hotel will be constructed to provide quality accommodation and dining facilities to the tourists. The project is initiated in collaboration with the private sector.

A US-based Overseas Pakistani, Anwar Aman, has invested $30 million in the project. Aman has named the hotel after his mother, ‘Be Jaan’. Aman is also taking initiatives to promote Chitrali music, informed Bukhari in a tweet.
Addressing the ground breaking ceremony Bukhari said that concerted efforts are made to promote the active participation of private sector in the tourism industry. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the Pakistani diaspora for contributing in the national development.

The facility is a 80-bed hotel, having two restaurants and a hall with 500-person sitting capacity. Bukhari asserted that his government has comprehensive plan for the country to market the country as a customized brand across the globe.
Bukhari, the chairman of National Tourism Corporation Board, said the prime tourism body is ready to launch all the initiatives which were delayed earlier due to coronavirus.

The minister further informed that PTDC, with the help of international experts have developed Brand Pakistan and would launch it soon to promote it as a tourism brand in the world.
Brand Pakistan has three main components- including brand identity development, musical score creation and e-portal. The portal would give the international tourist the details of all the tourist attractions in Pakistan with just one click.

“The portal will consist of a user-friendly interface to interact with the prospective tourists and provide them online connectivity to view Pakistan’s tourist sites through virtual galleries, videos and documentaries, and avail the various available services,” said Bukhari.
