Selena Gomez shares she is unable to carry her own children

"Unfortunately, I can't carry my own children. My medical issues would endanger my life and the baby's," Selena shared.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Selena Gomez opened up about her inability to carry her own children due to medical complications. The 31-year-old singer, who has been candid about her experiences with lupus, a kidney transplant, and bipolar depression, explained that these conditions make pregnancy risky for both her and the baby. “Unfortunately, I can’t carry my own children. My medical issues would endanger my life and the baby’s,” she shared.

Despite these challenges, Gomez remains optimistic and excited about becoming a parent through surrogacy or adoption. “It’s not how I initially pictured it, but I’m in a much better place now,” she said. “I feel blessed that there are incredible people who are willing to help through surrogacy or adoption. I’m looking forward to what that journey will bring.”
