PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan informed that the Senate has passed a critical bill on giving way to ambulances on roads. He elaborated on the significance of the bill passed by the Senate in a series of tweets yesterday on Twitter.
Senate passes a significant bill
The senator exhorted the importance of giving way to ambulances for the patients stuck in severe traffic jams on roads in his tweets. He said the senate unanimously passed a significant bill. Faisal Javed Khan said soon the directions will be issued to the authorities for the implementation of the bill.
“Alhumdulillah Glad to introduce this critical bill regarding giving way to the ambulance, which has been passed unanimously by the Senate. Every Second is critical for the life of a person when it comes to a medical emergency,” wrote Faisal Javed Khan on Twitter.

Importance of giving way to emergency vehicles
He said emergency vehicles like ambulances have an important role-they provide initial treatment to the patients and also take them to the hospital. Faisal Javed Khan went on to say that this is a collective responsibility to clear the way for ambulances on the roads amid traffic jams.

“Emergency Vehicles play an essential role as the responsibility of the initial treatment and also transporting the patient to the hospital lies with them. With increasing traffic load on the roads, everybody in society must be sensitive and be made aware about giving.
“Way to the ambulance. As soon as sound of ambulance or fire brigade siren is heard, the motorist shld start moving to a side and give way to it. People must be alerted to the fact that every second counts in a medical emergency, which is why it is vital for people to give,” wrote Faisal Javed Khan.

He said the emergency vehicles not only include ambulances but fire brigades as well. Since the matter is of utmost concern and involves life and death in several cases, hence Senate deliberated upon the matter and passed an exhaustive bill to address the issue.
