In another tweet, he said some actors are still silent on the disrespect by the BJP of Holy Prophet Muhammad. He says these actors say that art and artists have no boundaries but they should have some shame. Shahid asked if these actors have even sold their grace and shame. At the end of his tweet, he said: “Raise your voice to condemn the hateful speech against our PROPHET PBUH.”

The actor has been condemning the ruling party of India, the BJP, for disrespecting the Holy Prophet Muhammad. “#banindianbrand Muslims of the world must condemn and #boycott ..BJP is a curse for India.. the Muslims of the world condemn the remarks on our holy prophet PBUH. Shame on Modi” said the actor in his tweet.
Pakistan also lashed out at India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for derogatory comments against the Holy Prophet. President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called out India for Islamophobia.

President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in their separate statements, as well as the official Foreign Office statement, urged the international community to take cognizance now and “severely reprimand India” for the hurtful comments of its ruling-party leaders.
India continues to receive backlash from Muslim countries over the anti-Islam remarks by two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials, Rahul Gandhi, leader of India’s main opposition party, hit out at the ruling party for its “shameful bigotry”.
Earlier, a BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made insulting comments about the Holy Prophet and his wife Ayesha in a TV debate. Another party leader, Naveen Kumar Jindal, also made disrespectful remarks about the Prophet (PBUH) on Twitter.
