The intimate wedding ceremony of cricketer Shadab Khan with the daughter of Saqlain Mushtaq was held yesterday.
Shadab Khan looks royal in his ivory-colored ensemble and matching turban. Videos of him entering the wedding venue are making rounds on social media. He is seen greeting his father-in-law Saqlain Mushtaq and other guests at the wedding. Not many videos and pictures of his wedding ceremony are shared online. No picture of the bride has been shared from either side on social media.
Sharing his wedding pictures on social media, Shadab Khan said: “Alhamdulillah. Today is a blessed day for me and my family. My baraat. I hope I can be a good husband to my wonderful wife. A huge thank you to everyone for respecting my family’s privacy.”
Earlier, the Nikkah picture of Ansha Afridi with Shaheen Shah Afridi was leaked online. Shaheen had expressed disappointment over the leaking of the bride’s picture online. The hosts had requested guests to respect their privacy and not to share the pictures of the event on social media except for the ones released by them.
Whereas, Shadab Khan confirmed his marriage with the daughter of Saqlain Mushtaq last month.
The cricketer did not post pictures and videos of his Nikkah ceremony on social media. News of his engagement with the daughter of Saqlain Mushtaq was already rife in the media. The cricketer asked netizens and the sports community to maintain his privacy as he does not want to share the pictures of his wife and family on social media.
“Alhamdulilah today was my Nikkah. It is a big day in my life and the start of a new chapter. Please respect my choices and those of my wife and our families. Prayers and love for all” said Shadab Khan in his Twitter message.

“Alhamdulilah today was my nikkah. I am becoming part of my mentor Saqi bhai’s family. When I started playing cricket, I wanted to keep my family life separate, my family has also opted to stay out of public light. My wife has asked for the same, she wants her life to remain private. I would kindly request everyone to respect her choice and our family’s choice,” said the cricketer in the note posted on his social media.
