Shahid Afridi meets Salman Khan in Toronto

Pakistani former cricketer Shahid Afridi met Bollywood actor Salman Khan in Toronto on Monday. Shahid Afridi is in Canada to play for Edmonton Royals in Global T20 Canada Cricket League.

Afridi also urged Chief Justice Saqib Nisar to take notice of the black sheep in the judiciary.

In the sidelines, Shahid Khan Afridi also promoted the noble cause of his organization ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’. Dabangg actor Salman Khan also graced the event as he is in Toronto on his ‘Dabangg Tour’.

A video shows Shahid Afridi appealing the audiences to donate generously to his charity organization, urging the celebrities to attend his charity events. In his on-stage speech, Afridi informed he has invited Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh for his charity event.

Later Shahid Khan Afridi shared a picture with Salman Khan on his official Twitter account. Other pictures circulating on social media shows the two celebrities having a good time backstage, posing for pictures with their fans.

According to some media reports, Shahid Khan Afridi attended the mega event on the request of Salman Khan.

Afridi’s humanitarian and political activism

Earlier, Shahid Khan Afridi met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when he was visiting different cities of Canada for fundraising. Shahid Khan Afridi has dedicated his life for humanitarian causes.

Shahid Khan Afridi has always remained in limelight for his cricket career, but recently he has been garnering attention for his political activism. He faced harsh criticism from India for bashing India for the atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

In another tweet, he raised his voice for water shortage in the city of Karachi and blamed the politicians for worsening the water crisis in Pakistan. Afridi also urged Chief Justice Saqib Nisar to take notice of the black sheep in the judiciary.
