Former cricketer Shahid Afridi expressed his frustration over the reluctance of India to travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025.
He said that if Team India does not want to come and play in Pakistan then they should not. “We have visited several Indian cities even in difficult situations and despite the threats,” said the ex-skipper while speaking to media persons in Karachi.
Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 from February to March next year. India is most likely not to travel to Pakistan and will play their matches at a neutral venue.

“While the details of the tournament have not yet been discussed, it is highly unlikely that the Indian team will travel to Pakistan. Ultimately, the decision rests with the Indian government. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board plans to raise this issue at the upcoming ICC meeting in Sri Lanka this month,” Sports Tak quoted a source as saying.
Pakistan Cricket Board is adamant to host Champions Trophy in Pakistan. The board is busy in rebuilding and upgrading cricket stadiums. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi National Bank Cricket Arena and Rawalpindi’s Cricket Stadium will be upgraded. PCB has allocated Rs. 12.80 billion for the upgradation of three stadiums.
