Former cricketer Shahid Afridi was spotted attending a Tableeghi Jamaat congregation in Karachi. He was spotted lying and sleeping on the floor during the annual congregation meeting of Tableeghi jamaat held in Karachi.
Pictures of him sleeping on the plain mattress on the floor are making rounds on social media. In another picture, he is seen having a cup of tea after the congregation. The star player is receiving praise from social media users for his humble behavior.
The gathering also saw MQM Governor Kamran Tessori and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in attendance. Tableeghi Jamaat is the fifth-largest faith-based movement in the world with its following in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. Millions of its followers attend the annual congregation session. Members of Jamaat also visit countries to spread the message of Islam.
Shahid Afridi is cherished by his fans and followers for his humble and respectful attitude toward people. He was earlier appointed as the interim head of the selection committee against the New Zealand series.
He was appointed by the new PCB Chairman Najam Sethi replacing cricketer Ramiz Raja. As per the statement issued by Najam Sethi, Abdul Razzaq, and Rao Iftikhar Anjum were also a part of the tour-specific committee.

The cricketer was earlier busy with the weddings of his two elder daughters-Aqsa and Ansha. In December, Aqsa tied the knot with Naseer Nasir.
According to the reports, the Mehndi function was held on December 28th in an intimate ceremony, pictures of which have gone viral on social media. Earlier this month, Ansha Afridi tied the knot with cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi. The Nikkah ceremony was attended by leading names and cricketers.
