Sher Afzal Marwat demands resignation of Shibli Faraz

Marwat demanded the resignation of Shibli Faraz after General Secretary Omar Ayub resigned from his post last night.

Estranged PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat opens a barrage of criticism against the current top PTI leadership including Shibli Faraz. He particularly demanded the resignation of Shibli Faraz, who he thinks has captured the party.

Sher Afzal Marwat believes his resignation is necessary to liberate the party from his shackles. “I demand the resignation of Shibli Faraz from party positions and as leader of the Opposition in Senate,” said Marwat, who has been at loggerheads with Faraz and other party leaders.

He argued that on many occasions PTI leadership failed including on the matter of bat symbol of the party. “The core committee and political committees of the party consist of the favorites and the party decisions are not taken on merit,” claimed the PTI leader.

Marwat demanded the resignation of Shibli Faraz after General Secretary Omar Ayub resigned from his post last night.

“I welcome the wise decision of Umar Ayub Khan to step down as Secretary General. A few other people holding important positions in the party should also follow suit. This is because the party failed to accomplish a single task. Khan is in jail and recovery of mandate is still far away,” said Sher Afzal Khan Marwat in the tweet.

“Our women and leaders are locked up in jails and we have failed to mobilize the masses for a great movement. Loss of bat marks, reserved seats, by-elections, and party restructuring across the country are some examples where the party leadership has failed miserably. The core committee and political committees of the party are made up of favorites and decisions are not made on merit,” he said further in his tweet.

“I demand the resignation of Shibli Faraz from both the party office and the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, only then will the party be free from the clutches of the Hizb mafia. If the party workers want me in the field, raise your voice in favor of my demand. If Shibli is removed, I promise the party will rise as per the need of the hour. Victory will not be seen if we continue to remain silent on the wrongdoers as in the past,” he said while demanding the resignation of Shibli Faraz.
