Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat invoked the famous phrase “Mujhe kyun nikala?” (Why was I removed?) after his expulsion from the Imran Khan-founded party, sparking laughter among treasury members in the National Assembly.
During the session, Marwat, who typically entered through the opposition gate, instead used the government entrance, prompting desk-thumping from government lawmakers. The Speaker of the National Assembly humorously remarked, “Don’t get him in trouble.”

When asked to comment on the merger of mobile companies during the Q&A segment, Marwat sidestepped the topic, saying, “My only question right now is to my own people — why was I removed?” His remark drew laughter from government members, while PTI lawmakers remained silent. Spotting PTI parliamentary leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Marwat urged government members to back him, leading them to chant slogans such as “Why was Marwat removed?” and “Oppressors, answer us!
