Slogans of Pakistan Murdabad echoed in the stadium during the test match between India and New Zealand in Kanpur. The incident happened during the first day of the test match between the two teams.
Indian fans were cheering for their team to win the match against New Zealand when suddenly one fan raised the slogan of ‘Pakistan Murdabad’. Other fans followed him and soon the slogans echoed in the stadium. The slogans were broadcasted live on TV screens.
The video of the incident has been circulating on social media with Pakistani fans expressing displeasure over unwarranted show of anger by Indian cricket fans.

“Disappointing to see that instead of concentrating on the cricket, some fans in the stadium at Kanpur were shouting Pakistan murdabad,” said the Pakistani journalist Sadiq on Twitter.

Some Pakistani fans said that perhaps Indian cricket fans have still not forgotten India’s defeat in the T20 World Cup 2021. They are still hurt and angry. Pakistani fans, however, have asked Indian cricket fans to focus on the game and stop hitting Pakistan.

The same match has even become the most-watched T20 match in the history of cricket. Wednesday marked a month of Pakistan’s tremendous win over India in the high octane match of the T20 World Cup.

The match broke all the viewership records as it generated a record television reach of 167 million and record consumption of 15.9 billion minutes in India on the Star India Network.
The match broke the previous record of the most-viewed India-West Indies semi-final match of the ICC event in ICC.
