Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh, has promised a special moment for the audiences in Pakistan in his upcoming film 83. Ranveer Singh has started the promotions of the movie with Deepika Padukone. The real-life couple is also playing an on-screen couple in the movie.
Earlier, this week the couple had closed the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the premiere of 83. A grand promotional activity happened in Dubai as well when the trailer of the movie was played on the tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa. The couple watched the trailer holding hands.
They also hold a press conference in which Ranveer Singh promised a special moment for audiences in Pakistan. “There’s a very special moment that will make you happy as a Pakistani,” Ranveer said. “I won’t give it away, but in a few days you will watch the film, and then you will remember me.”

The movie had been in making since 2019. A Kabir Khan directorial, the film is shot majorly in London and parts of India. Based on India’s momentous win in the Cricket World Cup in the year 1983, 83 will see Ranveer Singh essay former Indian cricket team skipper Kapil Dev’s part.
In an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Kabir said that the shooting schedule would span over four months, before which Singh will undergo a rigorous training process under the tutelage of several cricketing icons. “Different expert cricketers are coming. Kapil Dev sir, Madan Lal sir, Yashpal sir, and all the ’83 cricketers will come. It’s loads of fun, it’s like boot camp, we train for 3 hours: physical and skills training and establishing different styles,” Khan told the publication.

Ranveer had shared that he has started preparing for 83, with a picture of him practicing at the nets. Kabir also said that 83 will have an energetic album but no lip-sync songs as the audience will not accept Kapil Dev singing on screen.
